Leithal Designs was approached by a Brisbane couple looking to extend their period home in Paddington to make room for a growing family. The original property consisted of a compact 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom house with a granny flat situated on the lower level.

Leithal Designs undertook a comprehensive renovation project which entailed the removal of most of the internal structure, retaining only the front verandah and two bedrooms. The end result was a lavish 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom residence featuring a cozy study nook, a spacious kitchen with a pantry, and generous dining and living areas. An elegant touch was added with the introduction of a large balcony that offered breathtaking views of the tranquil gardens.

The success of this project hinged on close collaboration with a team of specialized consultants, ensuring every aspect was meticulously executed.

Leithal Designs elevated the spacious extension by introducing lofty ceilings and exposed beams, infusing the area with an abundance of natural light through strategically placed skylights and expansive windows. The aim was to craft a truly exceptional space tailored to our clients’ desires.

The open-plan design harmoniously combines the dining, living, and kitchen areas flowing onto a balcony that offers a captivating view of the garden. The designer’s vision was to create an aesthetically pleasing symmetric layout to instil a sense of balance and uniqueness.
