Leithal Designs creates luxury commercial spaces for business leaders who expect their workplace, clinic, hospitality venue or retail environment to reflect the calibre of their brand. We work across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and South-East Queensland — designing interiors that perform as beautifully as they look.

The studio was founded by Sonia Leith on a simple belief: great commercial spaces aren't created by chance. Across two decades of medical clinics, multi-level office fitouts, government facilities, distilleries, retail stores and refurbishments, Sonia saw the same problem again and again — clients making high-value decisions with unclear information and no structured roadmap. Projects went over budget, timelines blew out, and quality slipped.

Leithal Designs was created to change that. Every project is guided by a structured, values-based methodology — creative, collaborative, resourceful and held to an uncompromising standard — so the outcome is intelligent, personal and free of surprises.

Backed by a QBCC Commercial Building Designer licence and hands-on project management, we blend creativity with technical mastery to deliver commercial interiors that elevate brands and endure.

Meet the principal

Sonia Leith

Sonia Leith founded Leithal Designs and leads every project personally — from the first concept sketch to the final detail on site. With more than two decades across commercial, government, medical, retail, hospitality and premium residential projects, her background in building design, interior design and commercial architectural documentation gives her a rare vantage point: creativity matched with technical mastery.

A QBCC-licensed commercial building designer, she combines a builder's practicality with a designer's eye — the reason clients across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and SEQ trust her to deliver spaces that are as functional as they are striking, on budget and without surprises.
